Nibling Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

Nibling collects nothing and sends nothing off your Mac. The first pet that actually knows you — and never phones home.

Nibling is a tiny pixel pet that lives in your Mac's menu bar. It reads signals from your own Mac (battery, temperature, free disk space, activity) to decide how it feels, and it remembers your rhythm over time. All of that stays on your device.

Data we collect

None. Nibling has no analytics, no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. There is no Nibling server, and Nibling never transmits your data to us or to anyone else.

What Nibling reads, and where it stays

No camera, microphone, or keylogging

Nibling never accesses your camera or microphone, never logs keystrokes, and requires no special macOS permissions. On-device AI features (if available on your Mac) run entirely on-device using Apple's frameworks — nothing is sent to a cloud model.

Notifications

Nibling can send you a gentle notification (for a weekly letter or a milestone) only if you turn notifications on yourself in Settings. It is never enabled by default and never used for marketing.

Children

Nibling does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Since Nibling collects nothing, changes should be rare.
